Don't get burned, cheaper is not the best "deal" (information on hiring a reputable DJ)
In the last week and a half, I have had 3 calls from people saying their DJ just
backed out on them and wanted to know if I was available to do the weddings.
Last Saturday, Strangely enough I had off and was able to accommodate one of
them at the last minute, this Saturday though? Sorry, I've been booked for a
year. My other DJ's that I recommend are booked as well. WOW! Talk about
leaving a bad taste in peoples mouths.. ALL BECAUSE they thought "Cheaper is
better" In the 12 years that I've owned and entertained Tickers Music Mania, I
have canceled ONE show, BUT I had a back up DJ do the show for me, There is
nothing I can do when the roads are closed for 120 miles, BUT I made
arrangements to make sure their day STILL went uninterrupted, and good! Long
story short, If you go with a "bottom feeder" as they're called in our industry,
they're CHEAP DJ's and that's exactly what you'll get, don't expect the world,
don't expect a bunch of professional dance lights, EXPECT the unexpected with
"bottom feeders" People choose professional entertainment because of one word,
Professional. I Try to be the most expensive period. Why? You get what you pay
for. If its your most important day of your life, Your Wedding! DON'T go with a
200 - 400.00 DJ. What about your Prom, Homecoming,
Anniversary, Party, Whatever the event, the "DJ" will help make or break your
show.. Go with a professional, but, find out WHY they are professional. Ask them
what sets them apart from other DJ's, and ask who they LEARNED FROM.
